So much for having a 64-bit OS
Check out my task manager . . . everything is 32 bit! Am I missing the 64 bit version when I download stuff?

You should be thankful, the 32-bit apps will utilize less RAM. I think an interesting test would be to take an open source project, compile as 32-bit and 64-bit executable, and then benchmark the two.
